In your profile settings, you have the possibility to enable and disable two factor authentication (“2fa”) process to enhance your account security.

If you have enabled this option, it means that you will be asked for a second, one-time use passphrase after successfully entering your email and password at login.

The passphrase is sent to your email address linked to your account. The additional passphrase is 8 characters long and can be copy pasted into the 2-factor authentication field.

The passphrase sent to you is unique for the current login. If you login again, a new passphrase will be sent and the old passphrase is invalidated.

If Sniffie detects a possible brute force attack attempt to your Sniffie account, two-factor authentication is automatically enabled and an email sent to you about the situation.
