Here are a few ways to help you troubleshoot possible issues with logging in to Sniffie Extension.
Make sure you have logged in to Sniffie
Upon starting to use Sniffie Service and your account has been created, you will receive registration email that includes a one-time password to your Sniffie account. The one-time password can only be used to login to Sniffie’s Service for the first time. Once you register to Sniffie Service you need to change your password before you can login to Sniffie extension.
If someone in your organization has created your account with one-time password and has pre-installed Sniffie Extension for you, you still need to login to your Sniffie account before you are able to login to the extension tool.
Make sure your account is active
All Sniffie-customers that have access to Sniffie Extension are trained separately for use by Sniffie personnel.
In the free test period your account is active for 14 days once the credentials have been handed over to you. Sniffie Extension tool is not available for test accounts.
Make sure you have correct permissions
Sniffie's users will have different permissions set for their accounts - viewer, editor, local admin. If you only have viewer permissions, you cannot create new sniffs with Sniffie Extension (and thus cannot login with Sniffie extension). Contact your organization’s account owner or admin user if you need your permissions changed.
If your account is a fellow account, you need to have correct user permissions to be able to login to the Sniffie extension.
Make sure you are able to login to Sniffie online service
You cannot login to Sniffie Extension unless you are able to login to Sniffie online service. Please read this guide to troubleshoot issues with logins to Sniffie online service.
