This article will walk you through the process for setting your prices to target values based on market data found for your products. Set to target value is one of the pricing actions available in Sniffie's pricing module. In order to access the Set to target value pricing action you must have the price monitoring module enabled in your Sniffie plan. Please note, if you utilize only Google shopping market data, conditions are not available for you.

What operators are available for "set to target value" pricing action

  1. Market average: sets price to the market average. Market will not include your own website(s)

  2. Market maximum: sets price to the market average. Market will not include your own website(s).

  3. Market median: sets price to the market median. Market will not include your own website(s).

  4. Market minimum: sets price to the market minimum. Market will not include your own website(s).

Defining conditions for the market entries in set to target value pricing action

You are able to define conditions in the market entries. By clicking the + button in under the Conditions. This opens up an overlay, where you can define the necessary condition for the product to be included in the market (pictured below).

In the above image, the first selector defines the boundary of the condition (i.e. above or below). In the next selector, you defined the field of the conditions (in this case availability). In the third selector, you define if the condition is % or units. In the field you type the value. For example, having the information Above Availability 1 units only considers products with at least 1 unit in stock as ok to be included in the evaluation of market.

Clicking cancel cancels the condition. Clicking add adds the condition in this action (pictured below).

Defining which competitors are included in the market evaluation

By default, all competitors are included in the market evaluation. To select for specific competitors enable the Define market switch. This will display an option field wherein you can select one or multiple competitors to include the market evaluation. In the below image, only Competitor 1 has been selected for inclusion in the market evaluation. This will exclude Competitor 2 and Competitor 3 even if there is price data available for these competitors.
